She knows they speak of her.

Her faithless Father, her unrepentant children.

They whisper.

Her love flows faithless into the night. She wends her way through mortal lives, arranging them to her liking, still warm to the touch.

Better to at least to ‘cause pain. She feels none of it now. Break her bones and flay her skin; it all feels like the glide of a feather against her flesh.

This upsets her.

Dru misses the pain.

She did not love her boys well enough. Her daughter flees a little bit more every day.

Inevitable, but oh so very sad.
