~Frequently Asked Questions~

~I have to know HOW in hell you can write like that?

Well, I can't speak for Donna, but I open up Netscape Composer and start typing ;)

Seriously, though, there are a lot of inspirations for DOOUL. The main thing is to just set our inner goofiness free and remember that there's no place too bizarre for the boys to end up. Well, maybe not *no* place too bizarre... a friend of mine who suggested taking them to the zoo ("Snake Week") also suggested a shagging-while-skydiving chapter called "Love is in the Air." Our standards are not particularly high, but they exist nonetheless.

The main challenge, for me, is keeping it light and comical, because most of my work falls on the dark-and-angsty end of things. My Spike/Angel fic To Take You In began as a series of scenes that I tried to put in DOOUL, only to have Donna read them and say "there is *no* *way* you are putting something that angsty in this fic."

~Are you from UK?

Nope, we're both in the U.S. Donna's in Florida, I'm in Georgia.

~Are you a guy or a girl?

Well, for one thing, we're not "a" anything, 'cause we're two. I can personally vouch for the fact that I am a girl, and now that I've actually met Donna in person, I can vouch for her as well.

~Gods! What the hell are you two on, and can I have some?!

It's a secret formula, and yes, but it'll cost ya.

~You *did* mention this was a series, right? would chaining you to your computer help you write more - and soon?!

Yes, yes, yes, it's a series, and we plan on continuing it indefinitely. We do, however, have (gasp!) real lives (Donna has a family, a real job, and several pets, including an evil cat which hates Jessica. Jess has just moved in with her long time love and is persuing a Master's degree.) So give us time. All good things....come.
