Lessons I have learned:

1.Joss can make anything happen: 

~ Tonight's episode was both emotionally draining and uplifting, in a way I haven't experienced since 'Hush' and the 'Body'. It made me love television in a way I *never* have before, not even these shows.

~ The entire cast, petrified by the musical as they claimed to be, delivered talent and style, tempered with the wit and peculiar charm unique to this 'verse. They came through and made something that by all rights should have been utterly cheesy and stupid - well, utterly cheesy and *glorious*. 

~ I am now a Spuffy shipper. 

Yes, you read that right. Godamn Joss twice to Hell on a Sunday. He can make anything happen, and he made me like Spuffy. No, not fluffy Spuffy. Not Iloveyouforeverperky Buffy with William the Bloody Awful Poet. But little girl lost Buffy who finally knows that ALL she knows is death and violence.. with Spike. 

The relationship is wrong and bad, and it's going to end horribly and painfully for one 
or more likely both of them. But I can't stop wanting to see it all go down. In flames. Yes. 

Whisper in a dead man's ear indeed. 

2. Anthony Stewart Head is a damn fine singer, and twice as good an actor.

~ He sold the entire forced plot of Giles leaving with that one damn song. He did such a good job in fact, that my *husband* whimpered when he sang the "Father" line. And my husband didn't even blink at the 'Body'.

~ The show will miss ASH. And so will I. 

3. I watch these shows because they are fun, and moving, and make me laugh and cry..and because they are fun. It bears repeating, so I did.

~ Rants and arguments and petty bickering over ships and plotlines and the like are not fun. I shall not participate in them anymore, at the risk of losing my fun.

~ When it stops being fun, it is time to move on. I'm still having fun.

4. I still love this fucking show. 

~ My harddrive can handle multiple musical DL's to at once to prove my love. :}

~ A VCR tape will not burn out if you play it a hundred times. Well, I haven't learned THAT lesson yet. Give me til tomorrow.
