Been posting over on the LJ  with a frightening frequency. The bitch has sucked me in like Badfic and Vomit metaphors. (Nod to Tink.)

Looking very forward to Seeing Red. Practically awake all night last night pondering it. Could I be *any* more of a geek?

Alot of talk on blogs about writing, structure and style. People posting first lines of their various fics, and dissecting them. I don't often think about first lines; where I get stuck is layout and grammar. Layout because initially my technoamishness prevented me from using italics in html. Therefore, many of my fics have whacky ass formatting instead, which has been noticed and commented upon frequently. I fixed all the original versions here today (day off, all sites updated, Jess doing her paper. Free time, what a concept!) But where archived elsewhere, my older fics are destined to remain in their original, horrifying multiple elipses and boundless parentheses Hell. Grammar, thankfully enough, gets caught in beta by my Ficbitch, who is a Nazi, er, I mean, English Major. *G*

But it makes me wonder about something Thamaris posted not long ago in her LJ. If you could remove all traces of your first and/or most disliked (by you, of course) works from the net, would you? And why, or why not?

Personally, I would keep it all up, even if I had the choice. It's a nice basis for comparison, a way to see where I've come, how much I've grown, and what I still need to work on. Besides, if nothing else, it's great for a giggle, a wince and some seriously scary self-deprecation.
